As a Lead Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in managing on-site projects and ensuring client satisfaction while maintaining the highest level of craftsmanship. Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Oversee and manage on-site remodeling projects from start to finish.</li><li>Perform demolition, rough and finish carpentry, and other tasks related to remodeling projects.</li><li>Deliver proactive communication and manage client expectations to provide a remarkable remodeling experience.</li><li>Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.</li><li>Lead and mentor in-house carpenters and other tradespeople on job sites.</li><li>Maintain 100% safety standards on all job sites.</li><li>Engage in continuous learning and professional development, completing a minimum of 10 hours of continuing education annually.</li><li>Collaborate with project managers, architects, and designers to ensure project specifications are met.</li><li>Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the project.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Minimum of three years of experience in relevant construction fields, including general carpentry, and problem-solving.</li><li>A High School Diploma is required. An Associate degree or higher is preferred.</li><li>Proven ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li><li>Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.</li><li>Exceptional people skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and consistently with clients and team members.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.</li><li>Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.</li><li>Must provide common hand tools; all other tools and a work van will be provided by the company.</li><li>Successful completion of a drug test and background check.</li><li>A clean and presentable appearance.</li></ul>Salary and Benefits:<ul><li>Full - Time.</li><li>Competitive hourly wage of $25 - $35 per hour, based on experience. </li><li>Paid holidays and vacation time.</li><li>Company-supplied truck and tools.</li><li>IRA with a 4% company match.</li><li>Year-round work, primarily focused on kitchens, bathrooms, and finished basements.</li><li>A positive work environment that promotes a strong work-life balance and respect among employees.</li><li>Freedom to make decisions and take the lead on projects.</li><li>Work with selective clients who appreciate and respect our skill and craftsmanship.</li></ul>At Nelson Builders, we believe in fostering a great team atmosphere and culture.
